GreenPhysics

About

GreenPhysics is the practice of John R. Schultz, Ph.D.: systems engineering for a secure future, with the evidence published.

John spent the first part of his career as a physical oceanographer, measuring the ocean — water levels, waves, the nonlinear dynamics of coastal systems — and publishing the results in the peer-reviewed literature. The discipline of that work is simple to state and hard to keep: no claim without its measurement, the instrument verified before the result, the failures recorded beside the successes. He has spent the second part of his career applying the same discipline to enterprise systems: public key infrastructure, hardware security modules, identity, and cloud migration, including seven years of work with Thales hardware security modules.

The book, Post-Quantum Cryptography for Enterprise IT, is what happens when that discipline meets a technology transition in which the industry's intuitions have stopped transferring. It took thirty-six days of measurement to carry Part III from an empty cloud account to a verified post-quantum chain with its root in hardware; those days are the reason an engagement with GreenPhysics takes far fewer.

The apparatus is free. The book is for sale. The engagement is the product.
